“Where you go, I go. What you say, I say.”
These are words that Martha Lemke has sung and prayed countless times. It was her anthem as she packed up her life and traveled the world doing missions work for an entire year. It was her mantra as she went to the broken, the hurting, the outcasts of the world and brought them the Hope of God. Martha has decided that laying down her own desires are worth the Cost of Christ. As she traveled the world this year, Martha followed …
From the beautiful coast of Ireland, to a gypsy village in Romania. Read as my team traveled to many different places in Eastern Europe and breathed life into different churches as we shared the love of Jesus along the way.
My favorite place in the world. The Middle East is pulsating with culture, religions and history. Three of the major religions of the world meet here, and we ministered the Truth right in the middle of it. Read as I traveled through Turkey and Israel.
East Africa is one of the most beautiful and also one of the most impoverished places in the world. Read my posts from the city to the Bush as we traveled through Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania, bringing the Gospel to the “least of these”.

As many of you know, my boyfriend Chris Hadsell is currently in Mozambique living at an orphanage and attending the Harvest School of Missions. About 3 months ago, Chris headed into the African bush with only a backpack but filled with expectancy. His living conditions are fair at best. No running water, rice & beans three times a day, mosquitoes, bucket showers, extreme heat, Malaria…the list goes on and on. Listening to him encounter all that Africa has to offer makes me remember fondly the three months I lived there …
I have been home for about 5 months now, and very busy at work. I have had a passion for photography for about 4 years now and never really thought about using it for anything. While on the Race, God gave me a dream to use my photography to raise money for those in need around the world. I spent this year taking pictures of the people and places that have touched my heart. Since I’ve been home, I have been working on getting the non-profit organization up and running. …
I have deliberately avoiding this blog for a while. I have been back for 50 days now. When I think about the Race, it still feels like I just got home. I still feel like I am finding my footing and getting a grasp on this reality called “Home”. The past three and a half months has flown by, and it still feels like I am waking up in Cambodia getting ready to teach English. The reason I have been avoiding this blog is because every time I see it, …
Our last month of ministry.
That concept was hard enough for me to wrap my mind around when we started ministry in Cambodia.
And now, 30 days later, our month of ministry is now over.
That idea is even harder for me to comprehend.
Not only has our time in Cambodia flown by, but when I think back over this race, it seriously feels like I’ve only been gone a month.
I could not imagine a better way to finish our time of ministry. We had an excellent placement this month. We have been …
