about me.

There is an old birthday card that sits on my desk.  I look at it everyday.

It is signed by my Great-Grandfather.

Inside, instead of birthday wishes and hopes of a great day

he wrote to my passions and desires.

He struck a chord deep inside of me, which resonates in the depths of my being and

is now beginning to sing.

He simply said,

“The nicest thing you could do is become a missionary.”

My name is Jennifer Lee Mitchell.  I am 22 years old and all I want to do in life is love people. My greatest desire is to go to places that are dark and lonely and rescue people out of them.  I want to bring the Light of Christ to people who have lost hope.  I fully believe that a smile, an encouraging word, and a helping hand can change lives, and person by person, can change the world.  There are many people that I know who possess tangible talents such as singing or writing and I know they are going to use those talents to make a difference in this world.  I have no such talents. It has taken me a while to realize that while I do not have a tangible gift like that, God has called me to something special, something unique that only I can do.  I am learning each day that God has created me for something big, and I am just beginning to believe those big dreams are possible.

Whenever I start dreaming, I always remember Numbers 23:19, “God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind.  Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?”  God has promised us BIG things in his Word, and the amazing thing is that they are not impossible!  One of my favorite things is to hear the story of God in other people’s lives.  I get so excited when I hear how God is helping others achieve their dreams.  So, a little more about me, I love my family more than anyone else in the whole world.

My parents, Ken and Kim are my two sources of strength. They have so much wisdom and have helped me through many tough situations in my life. I would not be the woman I am today if it were not for my amazing parents leading and guiding me through life. As time goes on I am coming to realize that I am growing to be more and more like my mother and I love that thought so much! My siblings, Jessica (19) and Joshua (17) bring so much joy to my life. Jessica is a freshman at Southeastern University and wants to be a missionary to India. Josh is a junior and wants to be a Youth Pastor.  I am so very proud of each member of my family!

I just graduated from Lee University with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies major and am focusing on: Theology, Psychology, Bible and Missions.  My time at Lee has been so very precious to me.  I have learned so much about God and about myself.  God has blessed me with the most incredible friends in the world.  These friends have challenged me so much spiritually and have been the catalyst of encouragement that I needed to begin dreaming big again.  I attribute the fact that I am going on the World Race to my amazing friends who allowed me to dream big dreams, and then encouraged me to make them happen.

I absolutely LOVE to travel!  It is through the wonderful blessing of God that I have been able to go on so many amazing trips.  Just this past year I was able to go to Israel twice, once to study and once to do missions.  I also recently got back from a month of teaching in South Korea.

A few fun facts: I am from Atlanta, GA and have lived in the same house my whole life. I have always attended Mt. Paran North COG and am very close to my friends there.

~ Recently, I have fallen in love with photography.  I love capturing unique moments and giving new perspective to things.  My desire is to take photographs that in some way inspire others.  You can view some of my photography HERE.

~ Israel is so very dear to my heart.  I love the people there and I have a huge desire to go back and bring healing to this hurting land.

~ I love Starbucks Caramel Machiatto and could live on that everyday for the rest of my life.

~ I also love roses, the rain, a good book, my car Satine, P.F. Changs, music, painting and dancing.

Well, I feel like we have just scratched the surface, but I hope this gives you a little insight into who I am.

Won’t you dream with me?

First, you’re a bonehead. You certainly ARE a VERY talented writer and photographer. And those are pretty stinkin excellent giftings.
Next, I know your parents from our Thursday Night Group (TNG) days at Mt. Paran before there even WAS a “North” church/campus. And I was directed to your fabulous blog site by John Harper.
Lastly, if you’re game, I simply MUST hook you up with a great friend of mine who, though closer to your parents’ age, is a nearly exact image of how you describe yourself. She only just recently picked up photography, but is amazing with it and is selling LOTS of calendars of her pics during recent trips to MANY of the places you’ve listed (Romania, Croatia, Hungary, Italy, etc.). And she and her husband are EXPERTS on Israel, traveling there every 2nd or 3rd year and teaching classes on fulfillment of prophecy in the Holy Land. PLUS, they once attended Mt. Paran North for awhile and are currently active in a Messainic Jewish church/temple/whatever-you-call-it. Holler back if you’re interested.
Meanwhile, I WILL PRAY for you while you are in Israel! May your reading of this note find you home again safely and having experienced the unparalleled rush of total abandonment into the will, the plan, and the ministry of our Creator and Lord. Many blessings to you!

With havin so much content and articles do you ever run into any issues
of plagorism or copyright infringement? My blog has a lot of completely
unique content I’ve either created myself or outsourced
but it seems a lot of it is popping it up all over

stop content from being ripped off? I’d definitely appreciate
